Jim Moore joined CGTN America’s Anand Naidoo, along with Jeff Moon, former U.S. Trade Representative for China, Yan Liang, Associate Professor of Economics at Willamette University, and Qinduo Xu, Senior Fellow at the Pangoal Institution, for a discussion on U.S.-China relations, the currency dispute, and trade tensions.

Moore provided insight into the current headwinds impacting U.S.-China relations but stressed that his experience over several decades demonstrated the importance of the relationship and that tariff wars have historically damaged all combatants.

Moore, a former assistant secretary of commerce, negotiated the Uruguay round at the GATT, which led to the formation of the World Trade Organization.
