Jim Moore joined CGTN’s Tian Wei, along with Arthur Dong, Professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, and Xu Sitao, Chief Economist of Deloitte China, for a discussion on trade tensions between the U.S. and China and updates in U.S. trade policy on August 15, 2019.

Moore provided insight into U.S. President Trump’s decision to delay the imposition of tariffs on several categories of imports from China, the implications of U.S. trade policy for future economic performance, and the overall trajectory of the U.S.-China trade relationship.

Moore, a former assistant secretary of commerce, negotiated the Uruguay round at the GATT, which led to the formation of the World Trade Organization.
