Founder & CEO James Moore shared insight into and updates on the inaugural Washington Institute Global Sports Conference, to be held June 18-19, 2020, in National Harbor, MD, as well as the role of the Washington Institute and global sports in strengthening linkages between business, government, and society to address the world’s most pressing issues. Technology, infrastructure, and corporate responsibility in sports were key points of the discussion. Moore also shared lessons in leadership from his experience as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Trade and Development and as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Affairs in the Reagan administration, particularly as it involved cooperation with Japan, and how this informs his perspective on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
