On May 14, Jim Moore joined CGTN’s Anand Naidoo as well as Max Baucus, former U.S. Ambassador to China, and Victor Gao, Vice President of the Center for China and Globalization for a discussion on the Coronavirus and the future of U.S.-China relations. Moore noted that while a complete break in U.S.-China relations is unlikely, a challenging road for U.S.-China cooperation lies ahead. Moore also shared his thoughts on the upcoming U.S. election and the effect of the result on global business.
Moore, a former assistant secretary of commerce, negotiated the Uruguay round at the GATT, which led to the formation of the World Trade Organization.
